Dr. Thiagarajan did his graduation (MBBS) from Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, and post-graduation (MS-general surgery) from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh. 

Dr. Srinivasan further enrolled in the DNB (Diplomate of National Board) program in Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and finally Senior Liver Transplant Fellowship program atMedanta – The Medicity, Gurugram, India.
