Dr Tejinder Kataria is world-renowned, one of the best radiation oncology doctors in India. Dr.Tejinder Kataria is one of the pioneer Radiation oncology doctors in India who has brought many innovations in the field of Radiation therapy. Dr.Kataria introduced India’s first Infinity Linear Accelerator with Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), introduced North India’s first Integrated Brachytherapy Unit, and started Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy. In her 35 years plus of experience as a radiation oncology doctor, she is credited with founding the Department of Radiation Oncology at both Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi, and Artemis Health Institute, Gurugram. She also set up the Division of Radiation Oncology at Medanta- The Medicity, Gurugram. Dr. Kataria has studied across premier institutes across India and abroad like PGI Chandigarh, University of Cambridge and University of Loads, Harvard University among others, Dr. Kataria has introduced the latest evolutions in radiation treatment to Medanta such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT) Image Guided Brachytherapy and Total Body irradiation (TBI), Total Skin Electron Therapy (TSET). Dr. Kataria has been associated with the QUATRO Asia team from the International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, since 2005 and was part of the Task Force Committee for the National Cancer Control program from the 11th-year plan under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
