Dr. Sirisha Senthil - Glaucoma Surgery - Education :
Dr. Sirisha Senthil took her intial medical education at Rajah Muthiah Medical College, Annamalai University. She did her post graduation training in ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, securing a first rank in ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology from the university (1993-1994). Dr. Sirisha also did FRCS in Ophthalmology from Edinburgh in 2000. She followed her post graduation and FRCS by acquiring a fellowship in glaucoma at LVPEI and training in contact lens, phacoemulsification and small incision cataract surgery at Chennai and Madurai.

Dr. Sirisha Senthil worked at many reputed eye hospitals of India as registrar, assistant professor and consultant.She joined L V Prasad eye hospital in 2007. Currently she is Head, VST Centre for Glaucoma Care at L V Prasad eye Hospital and institute at Kallam Anji Reddy Campus, Hyderabad.
Dr. Sirisha Senthil - Research and publications :
Dr. Sirisha Senthil is chief investigator is for several studies. She has published scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a book ‘Clinical Ophthalmology Made Easy’. Dr Sirisha has presented over 60 papers at national and international forums. She received the “Best scientific paper” award at the Glaucoma Society meeting in 2007, APOC 2012, APAO and AIOS 2013, and “Best video” award at GSI in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2012, Fusion 2012, and WGC 2015.
Special interest of Dr. Sirisha Senthil:
As head, , VST Centre for Glaucoma Care at L V Prasad eye hospital and institute has special interest in managing refractory adult and paediatric glaucoma. Her other areas of interest are glaucoma drainage implants and managing combined cataract and glaucoma.
